I received a starter-kit from the Wind Tales team:
- Make sure the tablet is up to date and the latest operating system is installed.
- Make sure that Bluetooth is switched on (this so that the spirometer game controller can be found
- Find the link from the tablet containing the FBX file that the Wind Tales team has sent to you and start it. This file is downloaded to the tablet. Depending on the internet speed this can take a while.
- When you get the message “this is not an official android app do you want to allow this” choose “allow” in settings.
- Then press install.
- The installation can take a while …
- When complete choose open
- When the game is started for the first time you will get the following popup. choose allow here. (this is necessary for the spirometer to function.)
- You are done, the game Sparky can be played!
I have my own Android tablet:
- We have not been able to test all Android devices. This means that it may not work properly on some devices.

When you start the game you will see the following screen:
Choose try if you have not received an activation code. You get the opportunity to try the game for 2 weeks. Choose activate when you have received an activation code from the Wind Tales team. The Sparky subscription can be purchased in the store.

Step by steps explanation to register a patient:
- When you start the game you will be asked to log in or create a user.
- Choose Create account
- Enter the details of the player. This data is needed, among other things, to make a GLI calculation (lung function determination by age) for the game.
- Enter everything to create an account
- Create an older password via the Parent Password button
- Choose Create account
- You are ready to play!
4 How do I prepare the Spirometer for use?
This is how you setup the Spirometer:
- Place 2x AAA batteries in the spirometer.
- Place the disposable turbine in the spirometer.
- When the game has started, a white light should come on. This means that the spirometer is active and has a connection with the tablet and game.
5 HOW DO I SEND A SPARKY report?
This is how you send a sparky report:
- Go to the Pause menu in the game
- Select settings
- Choose send report
Choose a method from the list how you want to share the pdf.
